If they were giving away this huge amount of money that thousands of users have collected, unless they are crapping money and they are saint candidates, they must be owners of huge multinational corporations to do that. Their one and only, unique goal is to make money for themselves! And you know how they are already earning money? With the traffic that all the people are giving to the website.
